 Meet
Jeff Wendling. Owner of Wendling Motor Sales of Rochelle. No stranger
to the car business, Jeff comes from a long automotive background. His
great grandfather was a Chevrolet dealer in Aurora, and his
grandfather and father were the original Oldsmobile and AMC dealers in
Rochelle. Jeff recalls working in the dealership as a young boy and
has learned the business from the ground up. "I still get a kick out
of telling people I started out washing cars right here and now I own
the place." laughs Wendling.
After graduating college in 1974,
Wendling worked for dealerships in Texas, Maine, Washington state and
Florida. Says Wendling, "The education I received working for large
dealerships was fantastic practical training and gave me the
foundation for success I knew would work in any area of life,
including the car business. I wanted to apply what I had learned in my
own business."
In 1991 Wendling came back home to
Rochelle and opened Wendling Motors in his
father's previous facility. His four-year projection was
exceeded by the first year.
Realizing the importance of services,
Wendling also has a busy independent repair shop at his location
employing Ford, GM and Chrysler certified technicians.
 Jeff is assisted by Sales Manager Greg
Stockton, also coming from a well respected automotive background.

Nichole and Luke have lived in
Rochelle since 1986. All of Greg's working years have been spent in
marketing and sales of various kinds, including advertising, common
carriage and auto sales. For over 9 years he has been helping people
in Rochelle and the surrounding area find just the right vehicle to
satisfy their transportation needs. What's more, his service doesn't
end with the sale, that's where it starts. Greg likes to say, "At
Wendling Motors we don't just sell cars. We build relationships."
Both Jeff and Greg agree a great key to
their success is that they genuinely enjoy the car business and look
